Make A World Class Innovative Museum On The Storytelling Arts Happen

Imagine this: one of our greatest artists, foremost innovators, top storytellers of all time, incredible businessmen, and rare facilitators of change decides to join the ranks of Bill Gates and leap deep into philanthropy.  Let’s just say that for one of his initial steps he decides to provide a public museum, one that will focus on particular aspects of popular forms that have been neglected everywhere else but are profoundly popular and inspiring.  For good measure, he decides to gift it on a region that he has historically served despite extreme pressures to follow the herd and abandon his flock for a place to the south.  You’d think his town would rejoice, right?  Done deal, for sure, right?  Front page news? Not so.  Go figure.  George Lucas needs our help.

He’s given to us, let’s give to him.  I mean, he has given SO MUCH to us.  And now he wants to give again.  We shouldn’t make this hard for him to do.  Let’s welcome him with open arms.  Trumpets.  At least a hell of a lot more than we are doing now.

It’s simple too. We can make this happen.  Teamwork.

George Lucas wants to build a museum and we need to show the world we want it to happen.  Now.  We need to show San Francisco that it would be a tragic mistake if this museum had to be built anywhere else.  If The Presidio is fortunate enough to receive this gift, everyone benefits.  We all need to speak up and show support.

Just check out their facebook page and “like” it.  It is only at 351 likes at the moment (!).  Let’s take it far far beyond that, what do you say?  This should not be a secret, but a huge campaign.  Let’s make the world a little bit better today.
